The speed of the splitting log splitter should be in the range of 400 - 600 rpm.
Higher rotations than recommended will cause the bit tip to overheat which may lead to hardening and damage. Working at high speed is also dangerous for the operator operating the drill splitter.
On the other hand, lower turnover will reduce the splitting capacity, which means that the splitting machine will split wooden blocks more slowly. There are no other contraindications.
When working with a drill splitter, remember to exercise extreme caution regardless of the drill bit speed!
